nagatima
Watchmaker's bench with movement parts

Bangkok · Pathumwan · Est. 2009

A workshop
that takes its time.

nagatima is a small precision workshop on Ratchadamri Road. We work on mechanical watches that need careful attention — hairspring regulation, bracelet restoration, and substantive calibre overhauls.

Mon–Sat, 10:00–18:00

Workshop Services

Each service is carried out by hand, at a pace that the work requires. No part of the process is shortened to meet a deadline.

Hairspring and balance adjustment

Hairspring & Balance Adjustment

For watches that are running fast, slow, or with positional irregularity. The technician inspects the hairspring under magnification, checks for coil sticking, magnetism, and centring issues, demagnetises the movement where appropriate, and regulates across several positions on the timing machine.

  • Timing machine report before & after
  • Demagnetisation where needed
  • Multi-position regulation

Bracelet and clasp workshop

A dedicated session for bracelets and clasps that have become loose, worn, or noisy. Covers link pin and collar tube inspection, replacement of standard wear parts, clasp tension adjustment, removal of accumulated deposits from link joints, and wrist-fit sizing.

  • Suited to steel & integrated bracelets
  • Clasp tension restoration
  • Care leaflet provided

Long-term calibre overhaul

Long-Term Calibre Overhaul

A substantive overhaul for watches whose movements have not been serviced in a decade or more. Full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, pivot and jewel inspection, mainspring barrel check, lubrication, regulation across positions, and pressure testing where the case construction permits.

  • 5–7 weeks in workshop
  • Written condition report
  • Approved spare parts only

Why choose this workshop

What sets nagatima apart is its pace and its transparency — a single technician works on your watch, and you are kept informed throughout.

Work under magnification

Every hairspring inspection and pivot check is done under high-power loupe or stereo microscope. Small deviations are caught before they become larger problems.

Condition reports as standard

After each service, you receive a written record of the movement's measured state. No verbal summaries — a printed sheet you can keep with the watch.

One technician, one watch

Your watch is not passed between multiple hands. A single senior technician handles it from intake to return, with consistent familiarity throughout.

Approved spares only

Replacement parts are sourced only from brand-authorised distributors or from calibre-matched donor movements. No generic substitutes are fitted.

Clear timelines, no surprises

Estimated workshop durations are quoted upfront. If additional work is identified mid-service, you are consulted before any further steps are taken.

Central Bangkok location

The workshop is located on Ratchadamri Road in Pathumwan, accessible by BTS at Ratchadamri station. Drop-off and collection are by appointment.

Workshop Enquiries

Your watch deserves a second opinion.

Bring it in for an assessment — there is no charge for an initial visual inspection, and we will give you a written estimate before any work begins.

Frequently Asked Questions

Practical notes about how the workshop operates.

How do I bring my watch in for service?
Drop-offs are by appointment only, made by phone or email. When you arrive, the technician will examine the watch with you, note its current condition, and explain what the work involves. You leave with a written acknowledgement and a price estimate.
How long does each service take?
Hairspring and balance adjustment typically takes five to ten working days. Bracelet and clasp work is usually completed in three to five days. Long-term calibre overhauls spend five to seven weeks in the workshop — this is the time needed to do the job properly.
What is included in the overhaul price?
The 13,200 THB overhaul price covers disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and regulation. Replacement parts — if any are needed — are quoted separately, and you will be consulted before those are ordered. The price is per movement, not per watch.
Do you work on quartz watches?
The workshop specialises in mechanical movements. Quartz regulation is not offered as a primary service, though bracelet and clasp work can be carried out on watches of any type, provided the movement itself does not require attention.
What if additional problems are found during the work?
If the technician finds something that was not visible in the initial assessment, work stops and you are contacted before anything further is done. You decide whether to proceed, and a revised estimate is provided in writing.
Is the workshop able to source spare parts for older calibres?
Parts for vintage and discontinued calibres are sourced from authorised distributors or from condition-matched donor movements. Availability is assessed at intake. If a critical part cannot be found, this is disclosed clearly rather than substituted with an incompatible component.
