1. About These Terms
These terms govern the relationship between nagatima ("we", "us", "the workshop") and clients who bring watches to the workshop for assessment or service, or who make enquiries through this website. By submitting an enquiry or leaving a watch for service, you agree to these terms.
nagatima operates at 56/3 Ratchadamri Road, Lumphini, Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. Contact: +66 2 251 6938 or [email protected].
2. Estimates and Written Quotations
An initial visual inspection is carried out without charge. A written estimate is provided before any work begins. The estimate states the scope of the proposed work and the associated cost.
If, during the course of service, the technician discovers additional problems that would affect the cost or scope, work is paused and the client is contacted. No additional work is carried out and no additional parts are ordered without written or verbal approval from the client.
Estimates are valid for thirty days from the date of issue. If a client does not respond to an estimate within thirty days, the watch may be returned and the assessment fee invoiced.
3. Acceptance of Work
Work begins only after the client has reviewed and accepted the written estimate. Acceptance may be given in person, by telephone, or by email. A record of acceptance is kept by the workshop.
Clients are advised to disclose any known history of the watch's condition, prior repairs, or unusual usage at the time of intake. This information assists the technician and helps set accurate expectations for the work.
4. Service Timelines
Indicative durations are provided for each service:
- Hairspring and Balance Adjustment — approximately seven to ten working days
- Bracelet and Clasp Workshop — approximately three to five working days
- Long-Term Calibre Overhaul — five to seven weeks from intake
These durations are estimates and may be affected by the availability of spare parts, the condition of the movement on disassembly, or workshop scheduling. Clients are informed if a significant delay is anticipated.
5. Parts and Materials
Where replacement parts are required, the workshop sources these from approved distributors or, where available, from the original manufacturer's supply chain. The provenance and cost of parts are disclosed in the estimate or mid-service communication.
The workshop does not use unauthorised replica parts. If an approved part cannot be sourced within a reasonable timeframe, the client is informed and the available options are explained.
6. Collection and Uncollected Watches
The workshop will contact the client when the work is complete. Watches should be collected within thirty days of notification. If a watch is not collected within sixty days of notification and no communication has been received from the client, the workshop may charge a storage fee and will make reasonable efforts to contact the client through all available means.
Watches uncollected after one hundred and eighty days, despite documented attempts to contact the client, may be treated in accordance with Thai law relating to abandoned goods. The workshop will retain full documentation of all communication attempts.
7. Payment
Payment is due on collection of the watch, in Thai Baht (THB). The workshop accepts cash and bank transfer. No advance deposit is required unless parts of substantial cost must be ordered before work begins, in which case a partial deposit may be requested and agreed in writing.
Invoices for completed work are issued at collection. The workshop does not issue invoices until work is complete.
8. Liability
The workshop exercises reasonable professional care in handling client property. We take responsibility for work carried out by our own technicians under this agreement.
The workshop is not liable for pre-existing conditions in a movement, case, or bracelet that were not discovered during the intake inspection, or for failure resulting from conditions outside the scope of the service performed. Clients are encouraged to disclose all known prior damage or repair history.
Our liability in respect of any single service is limited to the value of the service fee paid for that service. We do not accept liability for the market value of a watch except where loss is caused directly by the workshop's negligence.
9. Service Reports
A written report is provided at the close of each service. For the Hairspring and Balance Adjustment, this includes timing measurements before and after the work. For the Long-Term Calibre Overhaul, the report describes the movement's measured behaviour and notes items to monitor at the next service interval.
These reports are provided as informational documents. They describe the condition of the watch at the time of testing under workshop conditions and do not constitute a warranty of future performance.
10. Intellectual Property and Website Use
All content on this website, including text, photographs, and design elements, is the property of nagatima or its licensors. Content may not be reproduced or used commercially without written permission.
This website is provided for informational purposes. We make reasonable efforts to keep the information current, but details such as pricing and service scope may change. Please contact the workshop for the most current information before making decisions based on website content.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising under these terms that cannot be resolved by discussion between the parties shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the date of last revision. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
